The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) is a global initiative that aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in furthering the realization of the organization through activities and research in a shared culture of intellectual social responsibility. The student branch of the UN Academic Impact is known as ASPIRE ‘Action by Students to Promote Innovative and Reform through Education’. It is a student driven initiative and actively embodies UNAI’s principles within student communities around the world.

Christian College, Chengannur became the first college in kerala University and the second college in Kerala to be conferred with the UNAI membership. The formal conferring of membership and inauguration of the chapter was conducted on 31st October 2014. The meeting was presided over by our manager Rt Rev Zacharias Mar Theophilus Suffragan Metropolitan. The chief guest of the day was Mr Saji Thomas from the Department of General Assembly and Conference Management, United Nations.  The UNAI Membership certificate was handed over to the manager by Mr. Saji Thomas.
